‘Código País’

‘Código País’ is an initiative formulated by the Colombian Financial Superintendency intended to foster a solid culture of corporate governance. It constitutes a guide of leading corporate practices that are expected to be adopted and put into practice by the Colombian security-issuing companies.

Security issuers in Colombia must formulate and submit to the Colombian Financial Superintendency, on a yearly basis, the Report on the Implementation of Leading Corporate Practices, which has the purpose of generally indicating and describing each company’s corporate governance practices and the adoption of the ‘Código País’ recommendations for the shareholders, investors and the general market to be able to conduct the corresponding assessment.
