Good habits in Cumaral, Meta

Through our ‘Germinar’ Program, Grupo Nutresa contributes to the eradication of hunger,
to the production of food that generates nutrition possibilities and to the development of
capabilities within the Colombian communities.

Since 2022 and through Fundación Nutresa, Naturela and the Villavicencio Food Bank, we
have been implementing the ‘Germinar’ project in the Colombian department (state) of
Meta, looking to strengthen the food security and domestic economy of the local
communities.

Throughout this process, we have supported more than 35 families in the region by
providing them with tools and knowledge related to organic agriculture and crop
management techniques.

Together, we have completed the installation of 948 square meters of productive
gardens, thus achieving the production of 2.3 tons of food, which represents 5,240
fruit and vegetable servings for the families, as well as money savings amounting to
COP 14,300,000.

This project was strengthened with support from our brand Naturela, which provided
specialized knowledge related to the production of spirulina, a seaweed with a high
nutritional value.

We will continue working together on initiatives that enable us to contribute to building a
better world where development benefits everyone.
