Grupo Nutresa promotes healthy lifestyles through its ‘Nutresa cares for children’festivals
19 December, 2024The Organization promotes healthy lifestyles by means of community-centered events based on three fundamental pillars: healthy diets, physical activity and
hygiene practices.
Based on this premise, our “Nutresa Quiere a los Niños” (Nutresa cares for children) and ”Vive y Salta con Nutresa” (Live and jump with Nutresa) festivals connect our Organization with the community, thus favoring the physical, emotional and social development of children in the age range of 6 to 11 years old.
With the support of our mascots ‘Chispas’ the Jaguar, ‘Rayo’ the Hummingbird and ‘Salto’ the Rabbit, we have been able to convey a clear message: living a life in movement is one of the keys of well-being. Through fun activities, children learn to take care of their bodies and discover that exercise can be both fun and beneficial.
Ten ‘Nutresa cares for children’ festivals have been organized so far in the territories of Santa Marta, Soledad, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena and Bogotá, benefiting 4,450 Colombian children.
Our purpose with this experience is to raise the communities’ awareness about the relevance of taking care of their health and well-being by promoting healthy habits that they can embrace for their entire lives.
Within the framework of these festivals, we have also hosted the participation of our Nutresa Volunteers, who have put their energy in motion to benefit the communities through logistics and food prepping activities.
We will remain committed to the future of our children by working on building a healthier
future filled with energy and well-being for everyone.
