Grupo Nutresa is committed to the well-being and education of Colombian children
through its “Nutresa Quiere a los Niños” (Nutresa cares for children) program, which
promotes healthy habits and lifestyles among the youth.
Recently, the Company deployed its program at the ‘Caño de Oro’ Education Institution
in Cartagena, delivering 270 school kits that contribute to preventing the island’s
children from dropping out of school. This institution has also been supported since 2015
through the Organization’s “Líderes Siglo XXI” (21 st Century Leaders) Program, which
has contributed to enhancing the school leadership capabilities among teachers and
academic directors with the aim of fostering academic improvement, thus producing a
positive impact on both school culture and climate.
The “Nutresa quiere a los niños” program has operated since 1994 with the aim of
facilitating children’s access to education and improving their continuity in school at rural
and urban communities in Colombia, as well as promoting healthy habits and lifestyles
based on the pillars of balanced diets, physical activity and hygiene practices.
Through the “Nutresa Quiere a los Niños” program, Grupo Nutresa has delivered more
than 165,000 school kits with the purpose of mitigating the school dropout risk, in addition
to enhancing the access to education and ensuring school attendance consistency for
children from Colombia’s 32 departments (states).
With this type of initiatives, the Company builds a better world where education continuity
and healthy habits and lifestyles are drivers of development in our communities.
