Grupo Nutresa promotes the consolidation of the regeneration networks in Colombia based on collaboration efforts

Through Fundación Nutresa and in partnership with the Bancolombia Foundation and the Colombian Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), the Organization works collaboratively on promoting entrepreneurship projects based on regeneration principles in Colombia.

The term “regeneration” refers to the action and effect of recovering, rehabilitating, restoring and renovating something in our setting. It is a process that invites us to strengthen bonds, feed conversations and take different actions that enable us to build systems that respect the cycles of nature and where social and biological diversity have the relevance they deserve.

In 2023, Grupo Nutresa was able to set this project in motion for the benefit of 40 regenerator networks in the Colombian departments of Antioquia, Valle del Cauca and Quindío.

During this process, the Organization identified some of the main challenges they are exposed to and prioritized ten projects centered on food production processes, sustainable tourism, cosmetics, among other. These projects will be funded and provided with technical and financial support.

In addition, thanks to this partnership, it was possible to develop capabilities among 167 entrepreneurship projects that are part of the regeneration networks through mentorships, workshops, training seminars, webinars and in-person laboratory sessions.

We will keep working collaboratively on strengthening the networks that inspire us to continue co-creating to make a positive contribution to the development of our country because we will achieve increased regeneration together.
