Grupo Nutresa works on fostering gender
equality and women leadership among
Novaventa Entrepreneurs

Grupo Nutresa works every day on fostering gender equality to promote fairer and more
thriving societies. In alignment with our higher purpose of building a better world where
development benefits everyone and in partnership with the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID), Développement International Desjardins (DID) and
our Novaventa company, Grupo Nutresa created the program known as “Integra,” which is
an initiative that develops capabilities among women from the value chain.
The first cycle of this initiative benefited 300 Novaventa Entrepreneurs, who participated
for 14 months in eight training workshops and four webinars focused on: women
leadership, comprehensive financial education, economic empowerment and fighting
gender violence. The aim of these activities is to bridge social gaps among the women to
build an increasingly diverse and inclusion-driven culture.

Permanent commitment to gender equality

In 2022, Grupo Nutresa adhered to the Women Empowerment Principles (WEP)
established by UN Women (the United Nations’ organization dedicated to gender equality
and the empowerment of women) and the Colombia Network of the Global Compact with
the purpose of making progress in relation to gender equality practices and policies with
our stakeholders.
This type of actions enables us to make headway and join efforts to build an inclusion-
driven business culture that recognizes and values diversity.
