Biodiversity, our commitment to the future

At Nutresa, we have adopted a clear and ambitious strategy for the conservation and regeneration of biodiversity, aligned with our sustainability strategy and corporate purpose of generating long-term value.

Understanding the importance of natural ecosystems for the food industry and humanity, our organization works on multiple fronts to protect, restore, and enhance biodiversity in the areas where we operate.

Since 2021, we have had a Biodiversity Policy focused on minimizing biodiversity loss by managing deforestation-free agricultural supply chains and promoting sustainable practices across all our production processes.

Together with Ean University and the Andi National Center for Water and Biodiversity, the Pastas Business is advancing in the conservation and protection of more than 1,196 hectares of the Gualí Wetland in Cundinamarca, Colombia, home to over 96 fauna species and 42 flora species. The business protects the wetland through its operations by being a zero-wastewater-discharge plant, with a recirculation system that reduces potable water consumption from surface water sources.

We preserve natural wealth and all its life forms.
