Grupo Nutresa’s network of volunteers is formed by employees and apprentices who are deeply committed to sharing their time and solidarity with the communities from the regions where the Organization operates.

 

The volunteering actions are aligned with the strategic priorities that steer the corporate operation, thus becoming a scenario for the development of the employees’ talents, as well as an ideal platform for mobilizing solidarity, cooperation and talents, which leads to the securing of resources for achieving and maintaining sustainable development.

Strategies

Through volunteering, the Organization builds the necessary capacities to transform the realities of both Grupo Nutresa’s volunteers and the beneficiary communities with contributions in the form of time, money and talent. The purpose is to enhance people’s capabilities by means of the following types of volunteering actions:

Time-based volunteering

image Development of capabilities

this type of volunteering focuses on developing capabilities among the employees and the communities through actions intended to transfer knowledge and promote progressive transformations of both technical and soft skills.

Short volunteer work sessions where the employees carry out supportive activities for the benefit of the communities.

image “El Poder de Mil” (Power of a thousand)

This initiative aims to gather every year more than one thousand volunteer employees from the Business Units in Colombia and the strategic region. With this initiative, the Organization celebrates and shows appreciation for the value and great meaning of the supportive actions performed by the volunteers. The purpose is also to universalize the sense of collectivity through the acknowledgement, understanding and transformation of the realities of Grupo Nutresa’s value chain communities.

image “Aula” (Classroom)

“Aula” is a training program that provides social management and leadership tools to the volunteers and community leaders. In addition, it contributes to the process of fulfilling the strategic goals for 2020 and boosts the development of capabilities along Grupo Nutresa’s value chain.

Money-based volunteering

Sponsorship Plan

With the contribution of money by the employees, partner foundations are able to deploy their social initiatives in specific communities.

Social Support Committees

Money is contributed to support social initiatives planned by a group of employees from all Grupo Nutresa companies.

Emergency Relief Support

Focused on supporting communities stricken by natural disasters.
